SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA POETS SEASONAL REVIEW

Founded in 2003 by East Bay poet Jannie M. Dresser and San Francisco performance poet Marvin R.Hiemstra, the SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA POETS SEASONAL REVIEW publishes a snailmail newsletter each season with information about the on-the-ground and running wild Bay Area poetry scene. We focus solely on poets living or working in the nine counties that ring the San Francisco Bay Area.

Up and Coming . . .

We're working on posting a page with back issues of Marvin's fabulous column  "Poetry In Spite of Itself."

These are true collectibles, folks!

Also, we've just launched a page at this website to list San Francisco Bay Area poets' birthdays. Take a poet to lunch on his or her day!

In Spring, we will sponsor our first

Bay Area Poets' Contest. And, don't miss Marvin R. Hiemstra's special presentation at Cafe Arrivederci in February (see "Marvin's Page").

Articles on local zines, readings series, publishers, and others who make the San Francisco Bay Area the MOST vibrant and welcoming community for poets in the United States, bar none.

Poems and Poets In Season!

What We Do

We create and print a snailmail newsletter sent to subscribers and contributors every season. We provide you with news about what's going on in the Bay Area poetry scene and are happy to send out a sample issue upon request.
